Cheesemaking Diversifies Organic Farm

Cherry Grove Farm in Lawrence, New Jersey, has added cheese made with milk from its own dairy cows to its organic offerings, reports The Times. Farmer Kelly Harding sells pasture-raised meats and eggs, and maintains a herd of grass-fed dairy cows. Cherry Grove's aged raw-milk cheeses, made by the farm's own cheesemaker, have found ready customers in area restaurant chefs who purchase local foods. The cheeses are also sold for $16-18 per pound at Cherry Grove's farmstead store.
