Marketing and Food Systems Workshop

2010 Pasture Poultry Seminar

2010 Annual Pastured Poultry program. This year Charles Ritch of Goose Pond Farm in Hartselle, AL is the featured speaker. He and his family run a diversified livestock operation and will discuss their poultry operation. He will discuss their brooding, nutrition management, predator control, pasture systems, processing and marketing.

The program will include a tour of the farm and the licensed and inspected poultry slaughter shop.

Cost: $50 per person, or $90 for two, if registered by March 20th.

Beekeeping Workshop

Learn the basics of beekeeping. Our three day introductory beekeeping course will cover basic bee biology, hive management, equipment needed to build and start a bee hive, plus hands on work of building and assembling bee boxes and frames. We will also suit up and open existing hives and install a new colony of bees.

Small Ruminant Integrated Parasite Control Workshop
