Position Description:
Interns will be expected to assist with all aspects of our farm operation, including bed preparation, seed starting, planting,irrigating, weeding, harvesting, preparation of produce for the market and work at the farmers' markets we attend. We expect a minimum of 50 hours of work per week with two days off, not necessarily in sequence. Our two primary harvest days tend to be longer than 8 hours. English primarily spoken, but Spanish bilingual. We are unable to accommodate dogs and cats.

Position Description:
We are accepting applications for internships leading to a possible farm caretaker position after a successful one year period. During the internship period, we ask for 20 dedicated work hours per week, usually during three weekdays. Seasonal work can include harvesting, processing and storing foods, soil-building (earthworks, rock-work, rainwater harvesting systems), planting and mulching, natural building projects, farm maintenance, event preparation, etc. Busy weeks or seasons may require extra hours, balanced with vacation or free time when it slows. For the first three months, we ask for a donation of $25 per week. Year-long interns can have these funds ($300)...

Position Description:
We started our first serious succession planting this year after picking up a third one-farm market. If you'd like to learn this enormously useful tool along with the growing methods of the high desert this could be a very interesting and beneficial position. Summer hours start around 6 with a midday siesta, then back to work when the heat lets up. Depending on how pressing things are we may work into the evening, planting or harvesting.
