General Description: Integrated family farm producing cherries, peaches, apricots, apricots and raspberries sold at the local farmers market and local fruitstands. Sustainable vegetables, goats and Christmas tree farm. Conventional and organic.Located in north Central Washington state, 17 miles from Wenatchee.

Meals: Home cooked meals are provided using the best of the Northwest: natural meat and fish, home grown fruits and vegetables. We eat together family style, everyone helping in meal preparation. Opportunities to learn how to prepare produce for freezing and canning.
Skills Desired: Valid drivers license, clean driving record,no drugs or alcohol. Nonsmoking. Must have ability to work independently after being given instructions and to work quickly and responsibly. Able to lift 40 pounds and move and work from orchard ladder. Enjoy selling to the public.
Educational Opportunities: Hands-on opportunity to experience sustainable production and sale of cherries, apricots, peaches and apples.Care of vegetables and landscape under guidance of a master gardener. Care of goat herd and pasture. Family farm setting .
Stipend: $1500 per month. less standard payroll deductions. Bonus available for high volume picking and packing and selling. $1800 per month if applicant chooses to commute to work.3 References required.
Housing: Semi-private room with wifi, bathroom, shower. Badminton, swimming, hiking on location. 17 miles from town.

Internship Details: Primary responsibilities of the intern would be to assist us in picking, packing and delivering fruit to area fruitstands and selling at our large booth at the farmers market twice weekly. Farm duties include caring for our small herd of Boer goats, with babies due mid-May! Gardening work includes using a riding lawnmower to mow the farm yard and orchards, and tending the vegetable garden and natural landscape surrounding the log home designed by Penny who is a Master Gardener.
