We are a diverse farm so there are many opportunities to learn about both livestock and vegetable production. There are a variety if tasks that will be available daily. If you work with the livestock you will be involved with the following: fencing( we use rotational grazing), moving animals to fresh pasture, hand milking our goats and dairy cow, working on our solar irrigation and fencing system, processing meat birds throughout the summer, haying, weedwacking fence lines and much more. Position Description:
Intern will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of mushroom cultivation. This includes lots of cleaning, harvesting, inoculation, packaging, spawn production, tincture production, shiitake log laying yard management, etc. Intern will attend at least one farmer's market each week. Tasks may also include helping out around our homestead on projects such as gardening, wood splitting, tree planting, duck care, and building infrastructure.
