AFRI Soil Health Area Program Priority

The Agriculture and Food Research Initiative – Foundational and Applied Science Program administered by USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture includes a Soil Health component in the Bioenergy, Natural Resources, and Environment (BNRE) program area. This program supports soil health research projects that will improve our understanding of the physical and biogeochemical interactions and processes within and between the soil and the environment. This will lead to the development of tools, practices, techniques and/or innovations for sequestering soil carbon, improving soil health and the resilience and sustainability of agricultural production systems and ecosystem services. The maximum standard grant is $750,000.
