The AgSTAR Program is a voluntary effort jointly sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Department of Energy. EnSave is working with several the Mountains, Rivers and Valleys RC&D to provide Alabama farms - primarily dairy and poultry producers -energy audits for USDA's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program (Section 9006 of the 2002 Farm Bill). EnSave also recently provided audit data collection training for members of the RC&D. The RC&D will help the farmers submit applications for the program, using the energy audit to support the application. EnSave supports the American agricultural sector with innovative energy efficiency and resource conservation solutions. EnSave's clients include state and federal energy and environmental agencies, investor-owned utilities, and rural electric cooperatives.
