We are now producing Bio diesel at our new state of the art bio diesel refinery. With all of the changes in the environmental regulations sulfur, the lubricity element in diesel fuel, has been drastically diminshed. Where sulfur was removed bio diesel will help lubrication and keep the fuel system running clean.

The AgSTAR Program

The AgSTAR Program is a voluntary effort jointly sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Department of Energy. The program encourages the use of methane recovery (biogas) technologies at the confined animal feeding operations that manage manure as liquids or slurries. These technologies reduce methane emissions while achieving other environmental benefits.

Extension Energy Educator. I am the Marketing Specialist affiliated with Alcorn State University’s Mississippi Small Farm Development Center. My responsibilities are to provide leadership in developing and implementing marketing programs for small farmers and small-scale agricultural enterprises in the state of Mississippi. Over the years I have developed a rapport with the agribusiness sector locally, nationally and internationally. One of my strengths are developing strong relationships with the private and public sectors in identifying markets, developing markets, and promoting Mississippi products. I also conducts staff development training for extension agents and provides technical assistance to farmers. I attended the Energy Training for Agriculture Professionals (EnTAP) in Fayetteville, Arkansas and will continue to conduct trainings on renewable energy technologies that will assist limited-resource farmers in the state of Mississippi and network with other agriculture agencies and professionals throughout the United States.
