DSIRE is a comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility, and federal incentives that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. DSIRE is an ongoing project of the North Carolina Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.

REAP offers grants and loan guarantees to farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses, to help them purchase renewable energy systems or make energy efficiency improvements. USDA Rural Development administers the REAP program, and potential applicants are encouraged to contact the New York State Energy Coordinator. REAP is a continuation of the program formerly known (prior to 2008) as "Section 9006" or the "Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvements Grant Program."
