Local Food Promotion Program

Entities that support local and regional food business enterprises that process, distribute, aggregate, or store locally or regionally produced food products can apply for Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP) funding. LFPP support the development, coordination, and expansion of local and regional food business enterprises that engage as intermediaries in indirect producer‐to‐consumer marketing to increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products. Four types of grants are offered: planning grants up to $100,000, implementation grants up to $500,000, turnkey marketing and promotion up to $100,000, and turnkey recruitment and training up to $100,000. Approximately $10.5 million total is available.
