Services: Currently offering our Mobile Poultry Processing Unit (MPPU) for lease to farms and homesteads in Franklin Co., NC and surrounding counties. Our MPPU provides needed equipment to process 25-50 chickens (4lbs min. LW)/hr. or 6-12 turkeys (30lbs max LW)/hr. Not set up for waterfowl at this time. We train first-time rentals on proper equipment set-up and use, recommended processing practices, and proper chilling and handling of final product.
The MPPU is an open trailer (canopy avail.) set up with equipment to kill, scald, pluck and eviscerate birds. Leasing farm must provide labor (recommend min. crew of 4 people), utilities (120v elec. service, potable water supply and LP gas) and enough ice and storage to chill the final product. Rental rates based on number of birds processed and distance of rental location from home base. Additional charge for training and optional added equipment packages.
