Australian Egg Company Using Fitness Tracker for Chickens

An Australian egg company, the Honest Eggs Company, is using a fitness tracker for its chickens, reports Business News. The FitChix captures individual chickens’ step counts, and these are then printed directly on eggs before sale. The company says it’s a way to differentiate its chicken-raising practices from others in a world of misleading claims and vague labels. “We launched FitChix to help us monitor the health of our chicks and continue to focus on why regenerative farming is better for the chickens, the eggs, the land, the farmer and the community,” says The Honest Eggs Company’s general manager, Roger Boyd.
