A feature from Bloomberg uses USDA land-use data to generate graphics that illustrate the geographical distribution and the comparative amounts of land in different usage categories. Multiple maps and charts included in the feature illustrate the amount of cropland used to grow food for humans and the breakdown of crops grown on that land, the amount of land devoted to feeding livestock, the amount of urban land, and data on the amount of land controlled by individual private landowners.
