Permalink Iowa Learning Farms Accepting Applications for Emerging Farmers Forum

Iowa Learning Farms is accepting applications until May 16, 2018, to attend a two-day, all-expenses paid Emerging Farmers Forum in August. Emerging farmers include anyone who has recently started farming, would like to farm, or would like to have a voice in the management of their family's farm. The workshop and cabin stay will include tours of Pinhook Farm, owned and operated by innovative and entrepreneurial farmer Seth Watkins; hands-on activities; thought-provoking discussions on conservation practices, business and financial planning, marketing, and diversification; and tips on facilitating crucial conversations with parents and family as you transition into the farming operation.
