Farm Commons has released Farmer's Guide to Managing Food Safety Liability Risks: ID, MT, WA, a free, online publication that can help farmers understand and assess the legal risk factors involved in food safety incident and then take action accordingly. Farmers can take tangible, cost-effective steps to minimize their legal risks. This publication discusses legal risks and then highlights specific action points that farmers may decide are relevant or appropriate for their own operations. This publication focuses on the states of Idaho, Montana, and Washington; Farm Commons has different versions of the publication with information on the laws of several other states.
