The Core Grants Program of the Food and Farm Communications Fund awards targeted communications support to community-based nonprofit organizations and grassroots networks working to advance systemic and cultural change across our food and farm systems. The Core Grants Program prioritizes work led by communities of color, indigenous communities, farmers, farmworkers, fishermen, and food workers. Non-profits with average annual revenue of less than $2 million and a commitment to equity and racial, social, and/or economic justice are eligible to apply for grants ranging from $15,000 to $40,000 over a 12-month term.
Letters of interest are due by December 28, 2018.
Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is accepting concept proposals for Specialty Crop Block Grant projects that increase the visibility and competitiveness of the state's fruit and vegetable, nursery, horticultural, and nut products. Applicants must submit a concept paper for projects that solely enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops through market development, technology innovation, food safety, nutrition knowledge, sustainable practices, and/or pest management. State and/or local organizations, producer associations, academia, community based organizations, and other specialty crops stakeholders are eligible to apply.
