Permalink Biotechnology Risk Assessment Research Grants Program

USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) requests applications for the Biotechnology Risk Assessment Research Grants (BRAG) Program for fiscal year (FY) 2018 to support environmental assessment research concerning the introduction of genetically engineered (GE) organisms into the nvironment. The anticipated amount available for grants in FY 2018 is approximately $3.5 million. Standard Research Proposals must not exceed $500,000 total (including indirect costs) for project periods up to four years. Conference Proposals must not exceed $25,000 total. Applications may only be submitted by United States public or private research or educational institutions or organizations.
A letter of intent to apply is due by December 21, 2017.
