Permalink Land for Maine's Future

The Land for Maine's Future program acquires land from willing sellers to conserve it in its undeveloped state, providing public recreational water access, working waterfront protection, and continuing productive farms and farmlands. The Program works to coordinate and finance acquisition of lands. Through the use of matching funds, the program encourages partnerships with local, regional, statewide, and federal conservation organizations. A proposal is expected to have a match greater than or equal to 50% of the total eligible project costs.
Proposal deadline is September 1, 2017. Potential applicants must contact the respective sponsoring state agency by July 7, 2017.
