These grants are for organizations to develop and deliver training, specifically agricultural training with sustainable content. Professional Development Grants focus on training extension and NRCS staff, agricultural consultants, and other service providers who work directly with farmers and advise them on their farm and business practices. Awards range from $30,000 to $150,000. Projects must be held within the Northeast SARE region, which is made up of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia and Washington D.C.
Pre-proposals are due by July 6, 2017.
