Permalink Socially-Disadvantaged Groups Grants

USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service announces the availability of $3 million in competitive grant funds for the FY 2017 Socially-Disadvantaged Groups Grant (SDGG) program to provide technical assistance to socially-disadvantaged groups in rural areas. Eligible applicants include Cooperatives, Groups of Cooperatives, Cooperative Development Centers, and Native American tribal governments. For this grant, technical assistance consists of an advisory service performed for the purpose of assisting Cooperatives or groups that want to form Cooperatives such as market research, product and/or service improvement, legal advice and assistance, Feasibility Study, business planning, marketing plan development, and training.
Electronic applications are due July 25, 2017. Paper applications must be postmarked by August 1, 2017.
