Permalink Organic Medicinal Herb Production

Join Tilth Producers for a farm walk at Sego Herb Farm, a 55-acre certified organic farm that specializes in selling wholesale quantities of herbs used as plant-based medicines. Currently, the farm grows ginkgo leaves, ginseng, and goldenseal. The farm washes and dries all of their herbs on-site in their new custom-designed drying facility.

Hear about the process of seeding former crop fields to pasture species and how grazing former Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land has helped bring native prairie species back. Topics are grazing pasture and prairie, heritage-breed livestock, prairie plant identification, and low-input infrastructure.
