Permalink Sheep Grazing Seminar with Woody Lane

Ellensburg, Washington

Washington State Sheep Producers and Kittitas County Sheep Producers offer this short course with Woody Lane, a PhD livestock nutritionist and forage specialist from Roseburg, Oregon. Participants will spend the day discussing how pastures grow and mature and how this affects sheep nutrition and production. This will be both an in-classroom and on-farm event. It will look at science of forage analysis lab results and actually go look at the pasture to evaluate it. Discussions will cover items such as feed choices, livestock management, forages, pastures and which grazing techniques will help you get the most from your pastures.
