Mills River, North Carolina
This workshop will explore the many native bees, predatory wasps, beetles, flies, butterflies, and moths that are vital to healthy farm systems, and the direct practices of farmscaping that can be practiced in order to support their populations. Presenters will introduce participants to a host of beneficial bugs and their preferred habitats, and then take the class on a farm walk to see life in action. Attendees will leave with inspiration at the wondrous workings of nature, as well as the knowledge and confidence to set up farmscaping on their own properties.
