Composting and Food Waste Reduction (CFWR) Pilot Project

USDA Office of Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production has $10.2 million available for the Composting and Food Waste Reduction (CFWR) Pilot Project. The funding floor for this opportunity is $45,000, and the funding ceiling is $300,000. This program provides financial assistance to municipalities, school districts, counties, local governments, or Tribal governments to develop and test strategies for planning and implementing municipal compost plans and food waste reduction plans. Projects can be located in all community types including rural, urban, and suburban.
