Conservation Innovation Grants in California

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in California is accepting applications for Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) projects in California to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. A total of $500,000 is available; the maximum amount for a single award is $150,000. State priorities for 2023 include improving plant and forest health and productivity, improving air quality associated with agricultural operations, protecting surface and groundwater quality, improving soil health, assisting producers in climate resiliency, enhancing habitat for terrestrial and aquatic species, and developing urban agriculture.
