Internship information
General Farm Description: We are a human and horse-powered 5 acre farm on the Kitsap peninsula between Seattle and the Olympics. We produce veggies, berries, flowers and eggs for sale at local farmers markets and restaurants as well as our CSA and farmstand. We have a family farm with 2 small kids. 2020 will be our 10th season.

Internship Details:

We are flexible depending on the experience and desire of the applicant. For our standard internship, we do 40 hours per week including classes. We are open to a 3-4 day week for the right person. We are also open to paying hourly for more experienced hands, if the classes and learning time are not desired. You will get to learn about everything from field prep to seeding to planting to trellising, weeding, harvesting, prep and sales. We welcome applicants of color, from the LGBTQ community, and immigrants. Se habla espanol. ASL welcome.


Educational Opportunities: We are part of a cooperative intern training program through WSU. You will get to attend classes at area farms and with WSU. You will potentially get to work with and learn about draft horses. Training in flower production and design also a possibility.

Skills Desired: Pay is DOE. We will take any level of experience or skills, but will offer different employment options depending on applicant's skills and what works best for both parties. Please submit 3 references, your resume, and an explanation of why you are interested in working/learning at our farm.

Meals: No, but you get all the produce you can eat as well as produce to preserve.

Stipend: Yes, a stipend for apprentices, and hourly for experienced farm hands.

Housing: No, but we could potentially host an rv/tiny home.
