Internship information

General Farm Description: Chi's Farm is a diverse organic vegetable farm producing on approximately 15 acres annually. Additionally, we have just under 1 acre of high tunnel production, used for both summer and winter growing. We market through an on-farm stand, a 200 member CSA, and local direct distribution to restaurants and stores.

Internship Details:

We are looking for paid employees for general field crew in several capacities, including an experienced team leader position. There are several start and end date possibilities, as well as possible year round employment.

Educational Opportunities: Organic vegetable production practices from seed to sale. Organic certification record keeping. Food safety record keeping. Protected culture techniques for various crops. Equipment maintenance and operation. Possible visits to nearby farms.

Skills Desired: The ideal candidate has experience with harvest, wash and pack of produce. Additionally someone with good communication and a cooperative spirit is highly valued. Greenhouse/high tunnel experience would be valued.

Meals: No

Stipend: We offer paid positions. $14.50 is our starting wage, with an initial increase possible depending on experience. Performance based raises are possible.
