General Farm Description: Dinner Bell Farm grows an intensively managed market garden for a three-season CSA (32 weeks), a Farmers Market, and local restaurants where high quality produce and relationships are our top priority. We are in our fourth year and enjoy learning along with our crew. We also raise pastured laying hens and small herds of pastured/forested hogs. We are passionate about organic, sustainable practices and regenerating the land.

Internship Details:

This position will work as a team with the farm owner and farm crew. Activities in the market garden will include soil preparation, seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, processing vegetables, and learning drip irrigation, soil fertility, cover crop utilization, integrated pest management, and season extension. Crew Members are encouraged to actively participate in learning more about sustainable agriculture, and we are more than willing to help facilitate that learning. If interested, workers may gain experience in pasture-raised poultry and hog systems, how to operate farm machinery, use equipment and various tools, build necessary infrastructure, and food handling and safety. Opportunities to develop permaculture and regenerative practices.


Educational Opportunities: We will include team in educational opportunities in the area, fabulous network of farmers, and our on-going learning.

Skills Desired: Previous farm experience is not essential, but is highly valued.

Meals: Yes, daily home-cooked farm lunch.

Stipend: Hourly wage is based on experience; plus home-cooked farm lunch and produce to take home.
