Internship information
General Farm Description: We are a varied permaculture homestead and community. We are blessed to steward an amazing 10 acres with second growth forest and 2 year round streams. We do forestry, orcharding, poultry raising, gardening, superfood production, nursery propagation, management, and sales. We host community here in various forms. We are strong entrepreneurs manifesting ways to generate abundance. We are very connected to our incredible regional community and often host events like apple pressing and cider production. Lots of projects are underway and planned for the future. The large current one is a bath house under construction to house sauna, shower, laundry, loft, kitchen, and hot tub.

Internship Details:

This is a mixed internship that will give you a large diversity of tasks to explore and execute. You will be asked to engage in all kinds of activities, which will help you avoid boredom and repetition. Primary duties will revolve around: gardening, nursery management, poultry management, korean natural farming, permaculture design, tree planting, orchard management, harvesting, food preservation, community engagement, business management, and some building if so inclined. All work is up for negotiation. This is a position for a passionate, motivated, entrepunerial person that wants to get involved, take charge, and learn a lot. Lots of possibilities abound. I know heaps of people in our region and can connect you for work, play, and opportunities. You are welcome to bring an rv or tinyhome if you like.


Educational Opportunities: Heaps of them: permaculture, earthworks, forestry, chainsaw, land management, community living, building science and skills, plumbing, electrical, korean natural farming, perennial and annual ag, running a business, and more

Skills Desired: Building experience, including plumbing, electrical, and finish work is extremely valued.

Meals: I am a chef and will provide meals from time to time. Mostly you will be on your own. We have lots of gear you may use, like stoves, etc.

Stipend: It is an option depending on the arrangement we co-create.

Housing: A bath house is being constructed. It may be used periodically for camping. Over time it will become more finished and more usable to live in. Camping will also be necessary. We have a glasshouse with a shower that may be used. A tent platform exists and is available. It has a water view.
