General Farm Description: Forts Ferry Farm is a unique outpost in the Capital Region that offers heirloom produce, naturally leavened breads, thoughtfully curated goods and fulfilling experiences. This company was created to cultivate a greater sense of community through a common love of food, fun, and living well. We are a small team of creative individuals who are driven by a love of food and hospitality. We believe in the power of food and its ability to unite. We grow over 200 varieties of heirloom vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers on three acres of land. We work closely with our kitchen and retail team to select varieties and create offerings to be sold on our website and at our farmstand. In addition to produce, we run an expanding livestock operation on the farm that currently includes a flock of laying hens and one steer. We use a combination of hand-scale bed preparation and tractor implements to work efficiently while maintaining and building healthy soil.CRAFT Member Farm? No
