Internship information
General Farm Description: We are a farm in its third year of transitioning to no-till practices. We use hand methods for weeding, harvest, transplanting and seeding as well as harvesting, washing and packaging. We strongly believe that by supporting a healthy farm ecosystem we can produce the freshest, most nutrient dense food for our community. We farm about 2 acres of field crops and another 1.5 acres in our high tunnels.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Details:
We are a hands on learning environment. We take an approach where interns are both a member of our field crew as well as having access to print material created about our methods and in-field trainings. We happily share resources through our local networks such as online trainings, webinars, local farmers union meetings and more depending on an individuals interests. Internships can be full time with compensation(35-40 hrs/week) or part-time (15-20 hrs/week) with food and housing included.
Educational Opportunities: Along side in the field learning we offer print materials and trainings to strengthen our interns understanding of our farming practices. We are also fortunate to have amazing farming resources in our area and happily share access to online trainings, webinars and our local farmers union chapter. We feel these resources can gain our interns different perspectives on farming as well as more in depth education around a particular area of interest.
Skills Desired: No. Just an enthusiasm for Organic no-till farming and a willingness to learn.
Meals: Yes. Interns have access to all the seasonal farm veggies as well as staple items like beans, rice and flour etc. Community lunches are offered during work week as well.
Stipend: Yes.
Housing: Housing is available. Interns can expect a private room, fully furnished. Full kitchen use available in our onsite commercial kitchen. Internet included. Shared bathroom. Housing options may change based on desired length of stay.
