Internship Details:
We’re currently looking for a full-time Assistant Field Manager to join us starting in March for the 2021 season
and continue year round. You’ll be part of a dynamic crew working on all aspects of a vegetable farm, including
irrigation, transplanting, weeding, bed preparation, and general field work. Weekly schedule includes 5
days/week, 40-50 hours/week, Monday-Friday. You can expect to work an average of 45 hours during the high
season. Work is highly physical, and we’re looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, is
detail oriented and cautious working with heavy equipment.
Our diversified vegetable farm offers the chance for motivated individuals to enjoy the outdoors and be a part of

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Field Manager to assure all aspects of the farm are running smoothly. These areas of work
include:
● Weeding, including mechanical cultivation
● Harvest, especially when tractor assistance is needed
● Irrigation
● Equipment maintenance
● Bed preparation
● Pest management
● Landscaping
● General farm labor as needed
Skills:
● Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs
● Ability to listen and follow directions
● Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a good attitude
● Ability to focus and work independently
● Ability to work on pace
● Ability to work in all weather conditions
● Quality, speed, and efficiency are important
● Valid driver’s license
Education & Experience:
● Basic knowledge of crop rotation soil health a plus
● 2+ years experience working at a CSA vegetable farm, greenhouse, and/or landscaping a plus
● Experience with tractor and/or heavy machinery work a plus
● Sincere interest in sustainable agriculture and organic farming
Compensation:
Compensation based on experience. As a member of our team, you will also be provided vegetables from the
farm. Breakfast (during non school year) and lunch (year round) have been provided in the past and may be
provided again this upcoming year depending on COVID.
