General Farm Description: Hillview Farms was established in 2012 with the goal of growing the best food possible for our community. Located in Lincoln California, Hillview Farms operates a small “market-garden” style farm producing USDA/CCOF certified organic cut greens, tomatoes, and other specialty items. We are dedicated to being kind to the land, maintaining a safe working environment, and continually improving our operation. Our produce is sold at local farmer's markets, restaurants, small grocery stores, catering companies, food hubs, and our own seasonal CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) box program.

Objective:

We are seeking self-motivated workers who are driven to grow the best food possible. An ideal
candidate will already have experience working on organic farms and want to advance their
career working within the field of regenerative agriculture. We are looking for individuals who are
competitive in a team environment and are driven by results to progress the development of the
farm.
*Both Full-Time and Part-Time positions available

Duties and Responsibilities:

Farm crew members will work directly with the owners of the farm and other farm employees on
a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to:
> Greenhouse work (seed starting, maintenance, harvest).
> Fieldwork (soil prep, planting, cultivation, harvest).
> Washing and packing produce.
> Record keeping.
> Cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing equipment and materials.
> Marketing produce at farmer’s markets/farm stand


Educational Opportunities: Learn production and business skills that go into running a successful organic/regenerative farming operation.

Skills Desired: Qualifications: > 1-year minimum experience working on a farm or related field (landscaping, horticulture, customer service). > Clean Driving Record. > Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic. > Ability to lift and move 50 pounds, repeatedly for extended periods of time. > Ability to bend and reach repeatedly for extended periods of time. > Ability to work at pace in all weather and temperatures. Preferred Skills: > Greenhouse management and maintenance. > Experience growing lettuce, produce, and transplants on organic farms. > Farm equipment operation and maintenance (tractors, mowers, etc.) > Carpentry, plumbing, general handy skills. > Ability to organize and keep space tidy. > Experience with Microsoft Excel, data entry, and computer-based work. > Customer service and sales.

Stipend: Compensation: Employees are paid hourly, with all legally required withholding. > Pay ranges from $16/hr-$20/hr DOE
