General Farm Description: "Hunts Brook Farm is an 88 acre family operated, famers pledge farm located in the coastal town of Waterford, CT. We grow 4.5 acres using nutrient dense and biological practices. Our outlets include CSA, farmers markets, restaurants, local schools, and produce retailers. Applicants should be passionate and committed individuals who want to join our experienced team in all aspects of our operation including field preparation, planting, harvesting, weeding, and marketing. Housing available on farm and seasonal produce plus a spring fed swimming hole for relief after those hot days in the field. "

Internship Details:

“The work schedule varies throughout the season. Interns will work 5 1/2 days per week with some days being up to 10 hrs, including some weekends and holidays. On farm housing available. On the job training. Please send three references when applying.

Educational Opportunities: You will mostly learn by doing but there is ample opportunity to ask questions and communicate with all of the experienced staff

Skills Desired: Previous farming experience a plus but not necessary.

Meals: applicant will be responsible for their own food but can eat all the fresh veggies they want as available

Stipend: Salary of $1200 per month plus fresh farm vegetables all season long.
