Internship information
General Farm Description: Based out of West Asheville, Wild Goods has been providing foraged mushrooms, wild foods and medicinals to chefs and the good people of Western North Carolina for going on six years now. We participate in three weekly farmers markets seasonally and one year round market. We forage or produce the vast majority of our product to ensure quality and safety. This season we have also been wild harvesting our WNC native truffles with the help of our dog Eva. see our website for more info!

Internship Details:

We are looking for part time help for the 2023 season. This could include and not be limited to – running farmers market booth, foraging, log inoculation, processing, packaging, social media presence and website work. Interns will be adequately trained, and will learn safe foraging practices, mushroom identification, uses, and everything that goes along with selling wild foods and mushrooms. Ideally you are a local to the Asheville area and have your own accommodations and a flexible schedule.

We also manage a few Air BnB’s  on site at our W. Asheville home base – there is opportunity to earn additional income via cleaning however this is completely optional.

Stipend: Once Interns are trained and set up for success, there is opportunity to run the farmers market stand solo. Pay starts at 15/hr (about 5 hrs) plus 25% commission on sales.
