Internship information
General Farm Description: SMIP Ranch Produce is a diverse 3-acre farm which practices sustainable, organic methods of growing mixed vegetables and flowers. SMIP is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains about 40 miles South of San Francisco and 50 miles North of Santa Cruz (about 20 minutes from Alice’s restaurant). The farm grows produce for several bay area restaurants including two which have earned Michelin stars, and a small CSA. The ranch is nestled into the redwoods with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding hills and Pacific Ocean as well as a large spring fed pond to swim and fish in that also serves to irrigate our fields solely by gravity.
