Internship information
General Farm Description: Teresa's Fruit and Herbs is a very small, but very diverse farm located in the Mackinaw Valley in central Illinois. If you want to learn how to make a living on a very small piece of land, here's where you can learn how. We grow about 25 kinds of fruit, 30 kinds of culinary and tea herbs, and over 200 varieties of vegetable and herb starts. We specialize in vegetable and herb plant starts in the spring and fruit and herbs from June through fall. We also make and sell jams and teas made with home grown fruits and herbs year 'round. Organic practices are used everywhere on our farm. We sell our vegetable and herb starts at the Evanston Farmers' Market, the Peoria Riverfront Market, and through a 90 member CSA based in Bloomington, Peoria, Morton, and Eureka. Most of our fresh fruit is sold to our CSA members. Extra fresh fruit and herbs, as well as the teas are also available at the Peoria Riverfront Market. We offer full and part time internships for hard-working people with a desire to learn how to farm organically. We also offer part time hourly work.
