USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has Conservation Innovation Grants (CIGs) available to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies in Maine. NRCS anticipates that the amount available for support of this program in Fiscal Year 2021 will be up to $250,000, with a per-award maximum of $75,000. Projects will be between one and three years in duration. For Fiscal Year 2021, NRCS will consider offering CIGs in the following areas: Forestry; Aquatic Organism Conservation; Soil Health; Pollinator Conservation; and Irrigation and Natural Soil Moisture Management.
Proposals are due by June 21, 2021.
