Conservation Innovation Grants in Maryland

June 21

USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Maryland is accepting applications for $150,000 in Conservation Innovation Grants. Individuals, local and state governments, non-governmental organizations and tribes are eligible to apply for $37,500 to $75,000 of matching federal funds. This year, Maryland NRCS will consider project proposals that focus on innovative technology or methods for water quality or nitrogen management, environmental health and productivity of grazing land, and soil health and regenerative agriculture. Innovative approaches that optimize nutrient management to reduce downstream nutrient loads and maintain agricultural productivity in the Chesapeake Bay watershed are also strongly encouraged.
The deadline to submit an application is June 21, 2019.
