USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is accepting applications for grants to fund Montana projects that could stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) generally fund pilot projects, field demonstrations, and on-farm conservation research. In Montana, $225,000 is available for the state-component CIG. Applicants can request up to $75,000 for projects lasting one to three years. Resource concerns identified for this program are soil health, water quality and quantity, and range health.
Applications are due by April 23, 2021.
