Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is accepting grant applications for Good Food Access Program projects designed to improve access to affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables, for underserved communities in low- and moderate-income areas. These grants will help organizations such as businesses and economic development organizations, regional public health organizations, foundations, and community development financial institutions provide needs-based technical assistance to eligible food retailers, such as grocery stores, corner stores, and farmers markets. MDA will award up to $150,000 in this round of Technical Assistance Grants. Applicants may request between $5,000 and $75,000 and must contribute 25% of project costs.
Applications are due March 14, 2019.
