Red Oak, Virginia
Virginia Forage and Grassland Council is hosting a free, late afternoon pasture walk on the Adams Family Farm. Miller and his family have used conservation programs to develop a grazing system, buffer ponds, complete weed and brush control, and convert some pastures to novel endophyte fescue. Hear directly from Miller about his success with the fescue conversion, evaluate a stand planted in 2019 and grazed multiple times this season, and look at the next newly seeded paddock this fall. Hear how he has developed a moderate-framed cattle herd with excellent genetics as he shares on-farm performance data. Pre-register online.
