Practical Training of Nitrogen Planning and Management in Organic Production of Annual Crops

UCANR is offering this free, three-part series on nitrogen management for Central Valley organic growers. Participants must enroll in all three sessions. Participants will learn how to estimate nitrogen release from diverse organic sources and translate that knowledge to nitrogen fertilization plans and regulatory reporting requirements. The three sessions will cover all of the most common sources of nitrogen and complete a full nitrogen budget. Sessions will have group instruction followed by small-group breakouts to allow participants the opportunity to utilize information from their own farm in the nitrogen budget worksheet.
