USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is accepting applications for the Supplemental and Alternative Crops (SAC) Competitive Grants Program. The anticipated grant amount available is approximately $930,000. These funds will provide support for canola: up to three region-based integrated canola grants of up to approximately $225,000 per year with a project period of up to four years. SAC will also support one industrial hemp project to collect hemp germplasm for storage in the USDA hemp germplasm repository up to approximately $125,000 per year with a project period of up to four years. Only colleges and universities, other Federal agencies, and private sector entities are eligible to submit applications.
Applications are due March 30, 2021.
