Episode 2 of Prescott College’s “Food Systems Friday” webinar series is “What Does Home Grown Food Security Look Like?—Lessons from the Silk Road.” Join Dr. Robin Currey for a timely discussion about smallholder agroecosystems. Sharing research from localized food systems in Kyrgyzstan where 77% of fruits and berries and 52% of its vegetables come from gardens that average only 0.35 acres, this presentation illustrates what can be planted and raised in home gardens in the United States to meet household food security needs.
