Heat Recovery Ventilation in Winter High Tunnels

The Northeast SARE funded project described in this webinar, proposed to test whether or not the use of a heat recovery ventilator could effectively increase the average daily temperature during high tunnel winter production in the northeast, and, as a result, increase crop production and profitability. NCAT worked with New Morning Farm, a certified organic farm with experience in winter production, to test run the use of this nontraditional ventilation system. This webinar, presented by project coordinator Chris Lent an agricultural specialist at NCAT, explains the installation process and results of the winter- long project.
