High Tunnel Grapes – Winter Pruning

In this video Dr. Any Allen will show you how to winter prune table grapes using the balanced pruning method. The balanced pruning formula used is 30+10, leaving 30 buds for the first pound of prunings removed plus 10 buds for each pound of prunings after that. This video was produced by NCAT and is part of the High Tunnel Grape Project funded by Southern SARE and led by the University of Arkansas in collaboration with Cooperative Extension, the National Center for Appropriate Technology, and the Arkansas Association of Grape Growers. Future videos will discuss pruning, harvest, and pest management for high tunnel grapes.
