Internship Details:

“This Culinary Residency opportunity is for an individual in the field of mycology wishing to further their education of mushroom production. The base education for this Resident will be Culinary Arts, where they will incorporate the mushrooms that they grow into gourmet, organic, plant-based meals for our community. The Resident will receive personalized, hands-on training from our on-site mycologist as needed, though they are encouraged to see this as an independent learning opportunity. They will also get to experience residential life in a picturesque intentional learning community in the mountains of Southern Humboldt County.”

Skills Desired: You must have previous experience growing mushrooms. Basic culinary skills are preferable.

Meals: "Heartwood Meal Plan: 3 organic meals per day during retreat days, prepared by our Culinary Arts Department <br><br> Fresh Produce: Mixed boxes of fresh organic produce on non-retreat days."

Stipend: "This is a residential opportunity where all educational components are free of charge. Residents pay $700/month for room and board, allowing them access to our 200-acre campus and its facilities."
