Internship information
General Farm Description: "We are offering a unique opportunity for someone who is interested in being involved in the early stages of integrating draft horses into a mixed vegetable, fruit, and livestock operation. The ideal candidate would have experience with both livestock handling (preferably horses) and vegetable production. This position will manage their time divided between livestock chores, field labor, and assisting the teamster. We are working mostly with a younger team of small draft horses in their first season of farm work and need an extra person on hand to ensure the safety and success of their integration. This is not a beginner teamster training program, however, opportunities after hours to learn basic driving skills in the safety of an arena are a possibility for a motivated individual."
