General Farm Description: "Part-Time Farm Worker Positions SMIP Ranch Produce Woodside, California Farm Description: SMIP Ranch Produce is a 3 acre farm which practices organic methods of farming. SMIP is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains about 40 miles South of San Francisco and 50 miles North of Santa Cruz. The farm grows produce for several bay area restaurants including two which have earned Michelin stars, and a small CSA. The ranch has beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding hills and Pacific Ocean as well as a large spring fed pond which serves to irrigate our field. Summary of Position: We are looking for Part-Time Farm Workers to assist us in a variety of daily responsibilities 2-3 days a week. Responsibilities: The Farm Worker will share in responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following: harvesting, washing and packing of produce for delivery, weeding, transplanting, irrigation set-up, and hoop house propagation. Qualifications: ? Passion for organic farming ? Experience working on a farm or garden preferred but we are willing to teach/train the right candidates ? Available to work 2-3 days per week Physical Requirements: ? Ability to stand and kneel for long periods of time performing repetitive tasks ? Ability to work in all weather conditions Skills: ? Organized with strong attention to detail ? Ability to multi-task and work efficiently ? Receptive to feedback ? Willingness to learn new things ? Ability to work as a member of a team and have fun! Compensation: ? Dependent on experience ? Organic produce and pasture raised eggs (when available) for personal consumption. "
